the forum is written in golang and is exceptionally fast even under heavy load. our inbuilt in-memory caching solution, Mesa, caches and serializes data in-memory efficiently and safely. notifications come from both discord webhook and onsite rappad notifiers within seconds.
muut was a great but extremely insecure forum. ever since rappad shutdown the forum the community has gone through a downwards spiral - there was simply no way to facilitate any actual dialogue and the only means of talking to each other are through raps which is incredibly stupid. even the messaging API is barely used.
rappad.forum exists to preserve the community and to breathe some fresh new air, be it drama or something new. i myself have used rappad from 2018 all the way to late 2022, and i hope to bring it back for fun.
